Monday Memory

I am finally getting organized! Well not organized in general, but getting my photos organized. It is so nostalgic to look through pictures, almost as nostalgic as listening to The Doors or Led Zeppelin. This week I would like to share with you some photos from my baby shower! I was blessed to have not one, but two beautiful showers. There are literally hundreds of pictures (thanks to my beautiful cousin Denaye) of course I can only share a few.

What's on tap for the weekend...

Well, we have a busy weekend ahead of us! Saturday we are going up the coast to our friend's beach house. It is their son's one year old birthday party and I am sure it is going to be a great time. Sunday we will be in Ventura for a ride out. The surf club will be scattering my Uncle Paul's ashes in the ocean and we will enjoy a potluck afterwards. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Here are some recent pictures of Gavin:

Time to be honest, brutally honest.

First, a little history. I got this idea from another blog I follow. I thought it was fun and interesting to see what the rest of us have done this week that was either completely embarrassing or just plain dumb. Please post your "wasn't me" in the comment section below.

- I did not trip on may way into my car at the bank the other day. I also didn't then blame my stumble on my stupid F#%*ing shoes loud enough that a lady shot a dirty look at me, that wasn't me!

A starting point

Since I am a planner and a bit of a control freak, I have decided to organize my blog complete with some daily topics! Most days I will simply bore you with posts and pictures; other days will have specific themes. I must admit part of my intent is to keep me focused, I have this horrible tendency to abandon the best laid plans!

Every Monday I hope you will tag along on an excursion back in time. I didn't start this blog when I wanted to, so I would like to share those memories with you now.

Time to be honest, brutally honest. What did you do this week that you won't admit anywhere but here? Need some help? I did not eat a pint of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream in a single sitting and then bury the container in the trashcan so Cory wouldn't find it... That wasn't me! And I definitely did not walk out of a public restroom with the back of my skirt tucked in my underwear and then pretend I did it as a joke when I walked back in the office... That wasn't me!

Fridays are my favorite days; it means I have the day off, the weekend is beginning and my hard working husband is *almost* done with his work week. I have a hunch you may like Fridays too, so on Fridays I'd like you to Feel Free to post anything you want! Wacky facts, inspirational quotes, your favorite recipe, get it out there!

Tonight, I am praying for Stellan

I do not consider myself to be religious, but I do trust there is a higher being than those of us here on earth. I have to believe this, because I cannot believe the paths we walk are arbitrary. So tonight, I am praying for Stellan. I am asking that his tiny heart brings his weary body through one more night. I am asking because Stellan is Gavin's age. I am asking because this could be my son. I am asking over and over because this innocent little life needs all the support he can get. So, tonight I am praying for Stellan and I am counting my blessings because my son is healthy and sleeping peacefully in his crib.

Prayers for Stellan

Hello!

Welcome to my blog! I hope you enjoy what you find here, but I make no promises. I had the greatest intent to start one of these as a diary for my pregnancy. Alas, those 38 weeks came and went in a whirlwind of doctor visits, sonograms, weight gain, baby showers and nesting. Before I knew it, October 6th, 2009 was pounding at my door.

So here I am, one c-section and 10 months later with the most amazing little boy ever. Since I am starting here and really wanted to start there I figure why not go back in time? I ask you to bear with me and take a walk back in time, after all history is what defines our future.
